
Developing new ways to care in social work
Introduction
When coming abroad to study at the CHE, you will be part of an international class. The Dutch students you will have classes with, will go abroad themselves during the second semester. There they will work on a Final Thesis or Final Project.
The English program is offered during the 4th year of our Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. The same program is offered in Dutch, so it is not specially developed for guest students, but a required module of the BSW. Meeting with Dutch students and interacting with the Dutch (social work) context are main characteristics of the module.
For whom it is intended
For those whom are interested in working both theoretically and practical in Dutch social work. The main focus lies on the problem solving ability of students. Being able to work together and being interested in the Dutch culture are required.

Contents of the training program
The program consists of 3 parts:
Developing a welfare renewal project; taking a series of classes where several particular elements of the Dutch culture, in connection with the profession of the Social Worker are being illustrated. A module: Studying the diversity and historical explanations of the current European Culture. During the program you will have weekly classes as well as peer supervision with fellow students and professors. A part of the time you will do research in some of the social work fields.

· At least two years of study in social work/pedagogy or an equivalent social science study at Bachelor level
· Fluent in English

€ 2100,00 for EU/EEA and for non-EU/EEA (excluding travel, accommodation, study materials, insurance and visa costs)
